The Danyor Suspension Bridge is a long footbridge linking Gilgit to the town of Danyor across the river, and it's become a well-known local landmark in its own right. Crossing it on foot gives sweeping views up and down the valley, with the bridge's considerable length and height above the water adding a bit of a thrill for those less used to suspension crossings. It remains an everyday transport link for local residents as well as a point of interest for visitors.
