A series of roadside viewpoints along the Karakoram Highway near Gilgit offer some of the clearest and most accessible views of Rakaposhi, one of the highest peaks in the world, without requiring a trek to reach them. The mountain's near-symmetrical profile makes it instantly recognisable, and the pull-off points along the highway are set up specifically for travellers to stop and take in the view. It's one of the easiest high-mountain photo opportunities in the whole region.
