Mazar-e-Quaid is the mausoleum of Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Pakistan's founder, set on a raised platform within a large landscaped park in the middle of the city. The white marble structure, with its distinctive arched dome, is deliberately simple, and a changing-of-the-guard ceremony takes place at regular intervals through the day. The surrounding gardens make it a popular spot for an evening walk as well as a site of national significance, and it's usually one of the first stops for anyone new to Karachi.
