Built in the 1920s as a private residence, Mohatta Palace combines Rajasthani-style architecture with local Sindhi stonework, giving it a distinctive pink sandstone facade unlike much else in the city. It now operates as a museum and gallery space, hosting rotating exhibitions alongside its permanent collection. The building's domes, balconies and gardens are worth taking in on their own, offering a glimpse of Karachi's early-20th-century elite architecture in a part of the city that's since grown up around it.
