Chowk Yadgar is the central square of Peshawar's old city, historically a gathering point for public announcements and, more recently, political rallies, now surrounded by markets and constant street activity. It functions more as a hub than a standalone monument, with roads and market lanes radiating out from it into the surrounding bazaars. Passing through it gives a sense of how the old city's different quarters connect to one another.
