Greater Iqbal Park is the large green space surrounding Minar-e-Pakistan, redeveloped in recent years with wide walkways, fountains and open lawns that make it one of the city's most-used public parks. It draws families, joggers and vendors throughout the day, with the monument itself serving as the park's visual centrepiece. Evening crowds pick up noticeably once the heat of the day passes, making it as much a place to watch the city relax as it is a historical site to visit.
